Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN

Complete restoration of the original roof system was necessary on the main building at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Complete removal
down to the existing deck, installation of a new fire barrier and modified roof system was then installed by the roofing contractor.

  1. Re-roofing of Blue Cross and Blue Shield main
building at 3535 Blue Cross Road, Eagan MN.

  2. Fall support and netting used on the roof to prevent       debris from falling off the building.

  3. After the roof was clear of debris resulting from the       demolition, lighting was installed so that crews could       work throughout the night and therefore not disturb       BCBS employees during the day.

  4. Ramps installed over the existing expansion joint to       allow for movement of material without causing       damage to the wood expansion joint.

  5. Existing vapor retarder over the metal deck. This
vapor retarder was split in a number of areas and
did not act as a true moisture barrier.

  6. Removal of the asbestos wrapping at the pipe.

  7. Removal of the asbestos wrapping for disposal.

  8. Looking straight down into the opening of the deck       where the new drain will be attached to the existing       pipe.

asphalt sealing the joint between the horizontal and       vertical portion of the building.

      way roof after roof installation.
